Khalil Marie, Ph.D.
Khalil H. Sayidmarie received his PhD in Communication Engineering from Sheffield University in the UK. He joined the College of Engineering at Mosul University in 1983 and was made a full Professor in 1992. He worked as the head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and later as Manager of the Engineering Consulting Bureau at the University of Mosul. He then moved to the University of Amman in Jordan, where he served as Professor of Communication Engineering in the College of Engineering from October 2006 to September 2009 and was Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for the academic year 2008-2009. Dr. Sayidmarie additionally served as Professor of Communication Engineering at the College of Electronics Engineering of Nineveh University from 2002 to 2021, when he retired and obtained the rank of Professor Emeritus. He received two research scholarships from the Australian Endeavour in 2007 and 2018, both spent at the ITEE of the University of Queensland in Australia. He was a visiting professor for one month at Bradford University in 2013. Dr. Sayidmarie’s research interests include antennas, propagation, and microwaves. He has had more than 145 papers that were published in refereed journals or presented at conferences. He has supervised 45 PhD and MSc theses.
