The Center prepares students for the future by facilitating the development of career plans through University programming, counseling sessions, and partnerships with the public and private sectors.
AUK Career Services will provide students and Alumni with career counseling and the opportunities to define, develop and realize their career potential. AUK Career Services fulfills this commitment by using technology to streamline processes and enhance the accessibility of services, by responding to and representing the diversity of AUK and its community, and by providing a centralized campus resource that supports academic and professional success. Director of career services: Perwar Almissouri (a.k.a. Peter)
Perwar Almissouri is the director of Career Services at AUK. Graduated from San Diego States University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He has 10-plus years of experience in the education field, from being a school teacher, a Vice-principal and head Principal at international schools here Duhok-Kurdistan.
Perwar, also known as Peter, is dedicated fully to make sure students are employability ready for the future marketplace. He will conduct workshops, job fairs and prepare tools for students to utilize for their career choices.
