Design
The curriculum of the Bachelor’s Program in Design equips students with the essential aesthetic and industry principles and skills for success in communicating design solutions by integrating theory, design thinking, and innovation. The Program offers specializations in Graphic Design, Interior Design, and Product Design. After completing the foundation and introductory studio courses, students choose to specialize in two of these three specializations. This Bachelor’s Degree in Design will prepare students for careers in graphic design, interior design, product design, multidisciplinary design, furniture design, and other professions founded on design knowledge.

- A high level of quality knowledge and communicative design skills, critical thinking, and design technical abilities to create relevant problem-solving concepts toward advancing future designs that endorse human experience.
- Scientific approaches that enable students to develop innovative designs with cultural, social, historical, and environmental awareness, referring to the professions’ ethics to generate leading Graphic, Interior, and Product Design projects.
- Professional awareness of the design industry by forming mutual and sustainable collaborations and internships with local and international design organizations, firms, and studios.
- Identify and outline the design process by searching, writing, drawing, conceptualizing, and communicating designs verbally and visually.
- Understand the appropriate application of a comprehensive range of current emerging tools, software, durable materials, and methods relevant to confident engagement in contemporary design.
- Apply progressive principles in the design’s development and production of impressive visual messages, ergonomic and efficient built environment design.
- Analyze and develop multidisciplinary design methods and strategies to produce unique designs with the necessary information on printing, fabrication methods, and prototyping of both soft and hard-goods.
- Evaluate the impact of design through its compliance with cultural feasibility, ecological compatibility, and international codes and standards.
- Employ best practices in the design profession to produce aesthetical and appealing designs solutions for various design projects, taking into consideration socio-cultural aspects, universal design, and environmental considerations.

- Residential Interior Designer: Residential interior designers plan and design the
interior elements of homes for comfort, style, and function. - Interior and Com Interior Technical Lead: Interior design
technical leads maintain the project manual and specifications and standards for Corporate Workplace and implement as to grow the corporate accounts. - Commercial Interior Designer: Commercial interior designers
assess the needs of clients with commercial space (stores, offices, restaurants, bistros, etc…) - Furniture Designer: Furniture designers are experts in
creating and designing furnishings while considering both fashion and functionality. - Production Designer: Production or set designers create and
design sets for theatrical, motion pictures, film, and television productions. - Exhibit Designer: An exhibit designer works within a variety of
different environments in the design of a given space. They may work to design sets, tradeshow booths, or work within a facility such as a museum directly. - FF&E Designer /Specialist: The FF&E designer works on sourcing,
production, and documentation of the FF&E and interior finishes aspects of interior design projects, working with and under the direction of project team leaders. - Visual Merchandiser: Visual Merchandisers are responsible for designing and creating attractive visual displays for retail outlets.
- Minimum 3.5 years, upon the successful completion of 12 courses per year.
- Standard 4 years, upon the successful completion of 10 courses per year.
- Maximum 5 years, upon the successful completion of 8 courses per year.
