Overview
AUK is delighted to announce its First Hackathon, gathering bright minds from universities across Kurdistan to address real-world challenges. This event serves as a catalyst for fostering innovation and creativity while providing a platform to involve students in a dynamic sector.
Mission
AUK’s Hackathon empowers university students by providing a forum for the development of practical and professional applications directed to the tech sector. It fosters creativity and innovation in identifying tech-based solutions to pressing issues that face the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and beyond.
Objectives

We are pleased to invite students from universities from across the Kurdistan region of Iraq to compete in the inaugural hackathon. Each team will consist of four members (three team members and one supervisor). Team members must be matriculated students or graduates of no more than one year studying in an IT-related field.
The participating teams will be required to develop software solutions to pressing issues, under a theme that will be announced on the same day as the event. To encourage student creativity, the software solutions will be developed by the team members; the supervisors will not be allowed to take part in the software development process.
