Center for Peace and Human Security

The Center for Peace and Human Security (CPHS) analyzes major challenges to regional and global peace, sources of disharmony, and key mechanisms for conflict prevention and resolution. CPHS provides a platform for disenfranchised factions to voice their peace and security concerns and promotes awareness of issues of inequality facing minority groups.

Based at the American University of Kurdistan in Duhok (AUK), the Center for Peace and Human Security (CPHS) analyzes major challenges to regional and global peace, as well as mechanisms for conflict prevention and resolution. We look at the social, cultural and political relationships that lead into an increase in insecurity and potential conflict, and propose innovative policy oriented approaches to address them.
