We are honored to introduce Dr. Anhar Mohammed Saeed Sulivany as our esteemed speaker for the second installment of the President’s Lecture Series in Women’s Leadership.
Dr. Sulivany has embodied the essence of leadership throughout her multifaceted career, spanning academia, public service, and business and social entrepreneurship.
Academic Achievements
Dr. Sulivany’s academic credentials are both diverse and impressive. She holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering & Education from the University of Technology in Baghdad, an M.Sc. in Agricultural Mechanization from the University of Mosul, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Cairo. She has acquired certifications such as the TOEFL, IC3, and ICDL.
Her publications have addressed topics ranging from the challenges of computer education and mechanical engineering to wheat production energy consumption in Egypt.
Professional Milestones
Since beginning her career at the Mosul Technical Institute’s Mechanical Department as a professor, Dr. Sulivany has displayed a deep commitment to education and the mentorship of youth. She was elected to the inaugural Iraqi Parliament in 2005, serving as a member of the Agricultural and Rural Committee. In regard to her own entrepreneurship, she founded the Jowana Ready Food Factory in Duhok.
Dr. Sulivany has been an active member of the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate, the International Arbitration Counselor in Geneva, Women’s Union, and the Iraqi Businessmen’s Union.
She has contributed articles to various newspapers and magazines, and is a sought-after speaker and contributor at international conferences and workshops. Topics range from women’s empowerment and participation in politics to agricultural development. Read more about the lecture
