Students Spotlights: Young author Nizar Khaleel with a book release
Duhok, Kurdistan Region – August 29th, 2020 – Nizar Khaleel, AUK’s student of International Studies, published his first novel with the title “من تو کوشتی دا پیکڤە بژین” (I killed you, so we live together).
Nizar always had an affinity for literature and writing stories. He started writing as a hobby from a young age, and it wasn’t up until last year when he began concentrating his ideas in a novel.
The novel tells the story of a man who’s ready to hurdle every obstacle for his love. Besides the love story, Nizar’s novel also features short moral stories of life, which include valuable lessons.
Nizar’s work has been featured and recommended numerous times by AUK’s Student Government’s #ReadtoLead campaign. The gifted AUK student states that it was the AUK family that helped and encouraged him to start publishing his work “Being in a creative atmosphere like there is at AUK and under the supervision of people that support new ideas and progress, naturally makes you feel fearless of trying new things and fulfilling yourself,” states Nizar Khaleel, the young author.
The book is printed and published on February 2020 and has already sold out hundreds of copies in the local bookstores.
