Student Spotlights: Sarhat Nariman is working on a career as a cinematographer
Duhok, Kurdistan Region – September 12th, 2020 – Taking a conventional academic path while remaining innovative and creative is difficult to juggle for many but not for AUK’s Business student, Sarhat Nariman Khamo, who has learned to combine both his course of studies and passion for photography and videography as his chosen career path.
“At first, I wasn’t happy and felt insecure that I had made the wrong decision regarding my studies but now I see how useful it is to study a degree that will allow me to run my own production company in the future”, said AUK’s Accounting and Finance student, Sarhat Nariman.
As a big fan of cinema and motion pictures since his childhood, Sarhat started photography as a hobby from a young age and has now added videography and digital editing to his skills repertoire. Although he owns a YouTube channel, where he regularly uploads self-filmed videos, Sarhat’s dream is to produce films within the cinema industry.
“Kurdistan is full of untold and original stories that I want to tell and capture through each photograph I take and every film I make”, stated Sarhat.
Sarhat Nariman is also a member of AUK’s Student Governments’ Communications Committee and is in charge of photography and graphic design in many SG’s events.
