Yelena Sardaryan
Yelena Sardaryan holds a Master’s in Public Health from the American University of Armenia and a Master’s in Psychology from Yerevan State University. In her early career, she worked with people with disabilities and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. As a clinician, she has worked with clients’ wide range of mental health issues, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic attacks, and post-traumatic stress disorder, among others. Over the past eight years, Ms. Sardaryan expanded her role to the education sector at the American University of Armenia and American University of Kurdistan, where she champions American-style support services for students. Her research interests include diversity and inclusion, mental health, refugee integration through entrepreneurship, sexual and gender-based violence, and program evaluation in mental health and social services.
