Tom Hayes
Tom is Leopard Radio’s faculty manager and AUK’s Chair of General Education. He is also the host of “Focus on AUK” and other shows, as well as the chief editor for 98.7 Leopard Radio. He worked as a newspaper reporter and editor at various daily newspapers in Mississippi, Utah, and Arkansas, and was a US diplomat in Consular Affairs and the Economic Section in Cote d’Ivoire, Uganda, and Panama. Tom holds an MA in German from the University of Tennessee and a TEFL certificate from the University of Utah. He studied in Germany and taught German in the United States. At AUK, Tom has instructed journalism, US foreign policy, philosophy, and various writing classes. He has also lived and worked in Saudi Arabia, Armenia, Vanuatu, Hungary, and Slovakia.
Halmat Kestai
Halmat works as the Radio Station Assistant at 98.7, the Leopard, and is the host of “AUK’s Got Talent” and other shows. He holds a master’s degree in Media Science from the University of Mannheim, Germany. He previously worked in the Communications Department at AUK, and has also been a writer, columnist, and editor for German broadcasters. His expertise extends to marketing and media management. At the AUK Leopard Radio, Halmat hosts shows predominantly in the Kurdish language. He is also in charge of social media and advertising for the station.

Rozh Abdalla
Rozh is the host of “Leopard Life,” “Culture Time,” and is the student president of the AUK Broadcast Journalism Club. In addition to that, Rozh is an accounting and finance management student, loves to read novels, and hopes to be famous standup comic someday.
Adan Rashid
Adan is the congenial host of “Dr. Leopard” and “Positive Vibes” and is the student vice president of the AUK Broadcast Journalism Club. She is also a dedicated nursing student with a passion for promoting health and well-being. As the host of “Dr. Leopard,” she shares valuable public health announcements to keep the community informed and safe, and brings an optimistic outlook to the airwaves every week with her show, “Positive Vibes,” which focuses on mental health and self-care.
Ibrahim Ahmed
Ibrahim Ahmed, is the wizard of our studio, managing the technical operations of Leopard Radio to ensure smooth and excellent broadcasting. Ibrahim is also the host of “The Curious Leopard,” a program exploring science, culture, and innovation through engaging interviews. Ibrahim is a student in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.
