Tom Hayes
Tom is Leopard Radio’s faculty manager and AUK’s Chair of General Education. He is also the host of “Focus on AUK” and other shows, as well as the chief editor for 98.7 Leopard Radio. He worked as a newspaper reporter and editor at various daily newspapers in Mississippi, Utah, and Arkansas, and was a US diplomat in Consular Affairs and the Economic Section in Cote d’Ivoire, Uganda, and Panama. Tom holds an MA in German from the University of Tennessee and a TEFL certificate from the University of Utah. He studied in Germany and taught German in the United States. At AUK, Tom has instructed journalism, US foreign policy, philosophy, and various writing classes. He has also lived and worked in Saudi Arabia, Armenia, Vanuatu, Hungary, and Slovakia.

Rozh
Rozh Abdallah, the student general manager of the station, is the host of Leopard Life and co-hosts AUK’s Morning show, Good Morning, Kurdistan! He also co-hosts Culture Time. He is the president of the AUK Broadcast Journalism Club. In addition to that, Rozh is an accounting and finance management student, loves to read novels, and hopes to be a famous stand-up comic someday.
Media
Media Mohammed, Marketing and Social Media Manager at Leopard Radio 98.7, oversees branding, marketing strategies, and the station’s online presence, especially our all-important Instagram account. She engages listeners as the congenial morning show co-host of Good Morning, Kurdistan! on Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 AM and co-hosts Culture Time, bringing cultural insights and global stories to the airwaves. Beyond Leopard radio, she is a senior architectural engineering student, balancing academics with her passion for media.
Vache
Vache Aqop is a Computer Science and IT student at the American University of Kurdistan and the editor of Leopard Lens on Leopard Radio. He brings fresh perspectives on current events, keeping listeners informed and engaged. As an editor, he ensures every show is packed with quality content. Beyond Leopard Lens, you’ll hear him co-hosting other shows and making regular appearances across the station, including Curious Leopard/Tech Talk and Good Morning, Kurdistan! Passionate about personal growth, he’s always looking for new ways to improve and inspire others to do the same.
Yasser
Yasser Elyas, an ETE student at AUK, is an editor at Leopard Radio and the host of Debate Room and a co-host of Curious Leopard/Tech Talk. With a strong background in video and audio editing, he ensures every show is engaging and polished. Yasser is also a co-host of Good Morning, Kurdistan! Outside of the studio, Yasser is passionate about tutoring and bodybuilding, balancing his time between education, fitness, and broadcasting.
Jane
Jane Mohammed is a Computer Software and Security student at AUK and the host of our weekly show with Student Affairs. She is also a voice actress in an English language education soap opera Leopard Radio produces with CAPA. She is passionate about AI, cybersecurity, and education, using her platform to engage the university community through insightful discussions, such as in her insightful discussion as a co-host in Good Morning, Kurdistan! As a podcast host, she enjoys creating segments related to psychology and English language, aiming to inspire and foster learning within the AUK community.
Adan
Adan Rashid is the affable host of Dr. Leopard and our weekly show with the College of Nursing. She is the student vice president of the AUK Broadcast Journalism Club and is also a dedicated nursing student with a passion for promoting health and well-being. As the host of Dr. Leopard, she shares valuable public health announcements and information to keep the community informed and safe. Adan also works as a co-host on Good Morning, Kurdistan!
Ibrahim
Ibrahim Hama is the Technical Director of Leopard Radio, managing the technical operations of Leopard Radio to ensure smooth and excellent broadcasting. Ibrahim is also a co-host of Curious Leopard/TechTalk, a program exploring science, culture, and innovation through engaging interviews. Ibrahim also works as a co-host on Good Morning, Kurdistan! Ibrahim is a student in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.
