A TEDx University-type event, TEDxAmericanUniversityofKurdistan seeks to introduce TEDx’s message to a community still unfamiliar with it. This event is dedicated to highlighting hidden, underrated, and often overlooked talents and skills. Organized and founded by the students at The American University of Kurdistan, it sets a benchmark for young people, demonstrating the untapped potential within the student community. The project nurtures leadership in an environment that often discourages individuality and stifles the expression of courage and initiative. Our vision is to lead a project that explores new themes and ideas, pushing the boundaries of what is possible. The event showcases the talents of both members of the American University of Kurdistan and the broader community, encompassing diverse speakers of many backgrounds, languages, topics, and ages. First hosted in 2022, TEDxAmericanUniversityofKurdistan comes back with its second installment for the year of 2024 to concise with the celebration of AUK’s Tenth Anniversary to celebrate the students and members of the AUK community and beyond.
