AUK Welcomes Freshmen at 2025 Spring Semester Orientation
On January 9, 2025, the American University of Kurdistan (AUK) hosted a New Student Orientation to welcome 50 incoming freshmen for the Spring semester. Organized by the Office of Student Affairs, the event aimed to introduce students to university life and the resources available to support their success.
President Dr. Randall Rhodes opened the day by discussing the transition to college life, the advantages of AUK’s American-style education, and the university’s progress toward NECHE accreditation. Provost Dr. Triona Croke followed with a warm welcome, and representatives from Admission and Registration, Career Services, Student Affairs, and other departments shared valuable information on student support services.
The day included specialized breakout sessions with Peer Mentors, a campus tour, and engaging activities such as a Mixer Game, Networking, and a Scavenger Hunt. The event ensured that new students felt informed, connected, and prepared to embark on their academic journey at AUK.
