AUK Library is Now Open
Duhok, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, – June 11, 2017 – The American University of Kurdistan opens its doors, to students, staff and faculty
AUK library has the capacity to store 90,000 books and a current stock consisting of over 15000 printed and eBooks.
The books in the AUK Library cater to all the Academic programs offered at the University as well as covering a wide range of genres that encourage student’s reading habits.
Students, Faculty and Staff have access to the Library five days a week, eight hours a day enabling them to borrow each book for the duration of one week (also extendable for an additional week).
The E-Library section consists of over 30 computers, three online reference systems (EBSCO, ACM and ProQuest) which enables the students to gain access to online journals, newspapers and technical magazines, and full texts of online research, covering the following topics:
- Social Sciences,
- Languages,
- Literature,
- Sciences,
- Medicine, and
Moreover, Students and Faculty alike are able to access AUK’s EBooks 24 hours a day, on and off AUK Campus.
