AUK Facilitating Enrollment of Graduates of Institutes
Duhok, Kurdistan Region – December 11, 2023 – The American University of Kurdistan (AUK) has entered into an agreement with the Rand Institute in Duhok to establish a facilitated academic pathway for students to complete their bachelor’s degree at AUK.
During the months prior, the department chairs of the respective institutions met to review their curricula and identify overlaps in courses and content. These students’ prior learning will be acknowledged and result in an expedited pathway toward graduation at AUK.
During a meeting with AUK President Dr. Randall Rhodes, Dean of AUK’s College of Arts and Sciences Dr. Khedir Ramazan, and Department Chair of AUK’s Computer Software and Security Program, Dr. Dara Sherwani, the leadership of the Rand Institute, including Chairman Maher Nader Mustafa, Director Muna Abdulmageed Yassen, and Chair of the Computer Sciences Department Peshwar Issa Nadr, expressed their appreciation and enthusiasm for the valuable opportunity that AUK has agreed to provide for their graduates.
President Dr. Rhodes also pledged his support for more such agreements aimed at providing the youth of Kurdistan with educational opportunities that ensure their workforce preparedness.
