AUK and Five One Labs Partner to Launch the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program

Duhok, Kurdistan Region – April 19th, 2022 – With funding from the U.S. State Department entitled “Support to American-Style Higher Education in Iraq”, The American University of Kurdistan (AUK) is delighted to partner with Five One Labs in launching the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program.

Commencing in May 2022 for a duration of one year, Five One Labs will design and implement a Campus Incubator Program in conjunction with AUK’s new, state-of-the-art, Innovation Lab.

The Incubator will serve as a host and hub for student-led start-ups, as well as running interactive training on design, market research, financial modelling and business management. Serving AUK’s student community primarily, the Incubator will also host community networking and informational sessions in order to build an innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Duhok.

AUK is excited to launch this new initiative and hopes that our students will create products and services that will evolve into successful business ventures.
