The American University of Kurdistan is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Ministry of Higher Education in Iraq. The University is currently seeking U.S. accreditation through The New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE).
Although accreditation greatly increases the likelihood that an international university will recognize a degree for the purpose of postgraduate admissions, it is at the discretion of the institution to which you are applying.
