Students must be proficient in English to study in the University’s bachelor’s programs. All course instruction, reading and other resources, and communication is in English. The student must provide evidence of proficiency in English.
TOEFL or IELTS
Students are required to meet the English language requirements by providing a valid TOEFL or IELTS score. The AUK requires a minimum TOEFL ITP score of 537+, TOEFL iBT score of 75+ or IELTS 6 ( valid for two years). For more details, please refer to the AS026 – English Language Proficiency Policy
AUK Placement Test
Students who do not meet the above requirements must take the AUK placement test. The AUK placement test is split into three sections: 1) objective, 2) writing, 3) speaking. The test will give students a level score which will indicate the level of English where the student will start their study of English.
