2+2 Programs with Wayne State University
Duhok, Kurdistan Region – December 2nd, 2021 – The American University of Kurdistan’s College of Engineering announces the start of the admission process for the collaborative program with Wayne State University (WSU) in Detroit, Michigan, USA. It is a 2+2 Student Transfer Program. Students take their first two years at AUK and the last two years at WSU.
After successfully completing the first two years of their undergraduate studies in an engineering discipline at AUK, qualified students will be accepted into the identified department at the College of Engineering at WSU where they will complete the requirements for a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree. The areas of study are: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. This agreement also provides a pathway for enrollment in a Master’s Program in Data Sciences and Business Analytics.

WSU is a public research university, based in Detroit, Michigan. Founded in 1868, WSU consists of 13 schools and colleges offering a range of engineering disciplines, such as alternative energy technology, automotive engineering, electric-drive vehicle engineering, environmental infrastructure and transportation engineering, materials and biomedical engineering, bioinformatics and computational biology, nanotechnology and sustainable engineering.
