Competitions Format & Specifications

Students will create a poster and present at AUK campus for participation and evaluation. The winners will be
declared soon after completing the evaluation. Each group is allowed a maximum of three members to participate in
the poster competition.

Your abstract must meet the following requirements:

• Title of the project/research area.
• Describe the background and objective of the topic researched.
• Provide a concise summary of the research design, methodology, or analytical procedures.
• Include results/conclusions and significance to the relevant field of study. Initial results or/and expected
  results will be accepted. However, the most important is that the idea can be implemented in the Kurdistan
  region community.
• Be between 150 and 200 words.

• The decision of abstract acceptance will be judged by a panel of reviewers.

When preparing your poster for the competition, please follow:

• Create your poster in Powerpoint, then save it as a PDF file before uploading.
• Ensure your poster is A0 (84.1 cm wide x 118.9 cm height).
• Minimum font size of 24-28 points for text to ensure readability.
• Use .jpeg or .png file format for embedded images with a minimum of 72 dpi
• Ensure text and background colors have a high contract (dark letters on light backgrounds)

Note: No need to print your poster! Please send your pdf poster to auk.ete@auk.edu.krd, and we will print it for you.
