Ayad Michael Mirza is an accomplished executive leader and governance strategist with more than three decades of experience in financial management, business development, and institutional transformation. He previously served as Deloitte’s Managing Partner in Iraq, where he played a pivotal role in establishing corporate structures, advising public-private-sector entities, and advancing financial transparency and reporting across a range of industries. His leadership experience also includes advisory work with multinational companies, development organizations, and government institutions on risk management, compliance, and organizational performance. Mr. Mirza brings deep expertise in corporate governance, strategic planning, and institutional restructuring capabilities that align directly with the evolving needs of the Board of Trustees at AUK. His track record navigating regulatory environments, strengthening accountability frameworks, and guiding organizational maturity, positions him as a valuable contributor to AUK’s efforts to enhance oversight, reinforce operational systems, and build stakeholder confidence. He is a US Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Finance and Management, providing a strong academic foundation that complements his extensive executive leadership experience.
