Impact Hub Duhok: Supporting Innovation and Entrepreneurship
On August 10, 2025, the AUK community celebrated the grand opening of Impact Hub Duhok on the campus of AUK, a dedicated coworking space and innovation hub designed to foster collaboration, provide resources, and support a community of startups and innovators. As the first Impact Hub license holder in Iraq, Impact Hub Duhok provides a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to develop ideas, access mentorship, and build meaningful ventures.
This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Center for Academic and Professional Advancement (CAPA), Impact Hub Duhok, Impact Hub Yerevan, Impact Hub Global, and key sponsors, including VCG and the U.S. Department of State, demonstrating a shared commitment to strengthening Kurdistan’s innovation ecosystem and supporting sustainable economic growth.
Impact Hub Duhok, located at the American University of Kurdistan, is a contemporary coworking and innovation space designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurism. The Hub offers open work areas, meeting rooms, and collaborative lounges. Participants purchase memberships with packages at price points tailored for students, startups, and start-ups. Members’ benefits include access to a global network of 100+ Impact Hubs worldwide, use of coworking facilities, participation in workshops, bootcamps, and networking events, and mentorship and coaching from local and international experts.
AUK CAPA and Impact Hub Duhok encourage students, entrepreneurs, and innovators across Kurdistan and Iraq to explore the programs, mentorship opportunities, and workspaces available at Impact Hub Duhok.
