BC Group Chairman Bişar Çoktin Visits AUK to Meet Scholarship Recipients

On February 10, 2025, Bişar Çoktin, Chairman of the BC Group visited The American University of Kurdistan (AUK) to meet five students benefiting from the BC Group Scholarship. He was welcomed by AUK’s leadership team, including President Dr. Randall Rhodes, Provost Triona Croke, and Secretary of the Board Dr. Honar Issa.

The BC Group Scholarship is a $250,000 grant over five years, dedicated to supporting five students from Northern Kurdistan. The Scholarship fully covers tuition, educational expenses, and accommodation, ensuring recipients the opportunity to focus on their studies without financial worry.

During his visit, Mr. Çoktin emphasized the importance of perseverance and hard work, encouraging students to stay motivated and focused on academic success. His commitment to education aligns with AUK’s mission of fostering inclusive, high-quality learning opportunities, particularly in fields essential for Kurdistan’s development.

Mr. Çoktin was honored with an award by Dr. Rhodes in recognition of his Scholarship support. In this year of the 10th Anniversary, the AUK is celebrating its partners and donors whose dedication to education supports the University’s progress toward accomplishing its mission.
