AUK’s College of Nursing Partners with Local Healthcare Centers

Duhok, Kurdistan Region – November 29, 2023 – The American University of Kurdistan (AUK) has established collaborative affiliations with two local healthcare institutions: The Life Center for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and the Nursing Home in Duhok. These collaborative efforts focus on providing nursing students with significant practical experiences readying them for entering the workforce.

The Life Center’s range of services is unique in the region. Wax bath therapy, ultrasound physical therapy, aquatic physiotherapy, shockwave therapy, and other specialized treatments are available for both adult and pediatric patients.

The collaboration with the Nursing Home is beneficial for both the students and the nursing home. It provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a real-world healthcare setting, honing their skills and broadening their knowledge.
