AUK Welcomes Italian Consul General Tommaso Sansone

On May 14, 2025, The American University of Kurdistan (AUK) was honored to welcome Mr. Tommaso Sansone, the newly appointed Consul General of Italy in Erbil, during his official visit to campus.

Mr. Sansone was warmly received by AUK President Dr. Randall Rhodes and Vice President of Finance and Administration Mr. Omed Zawity. Together, they engaged in a meaningful discussion about potential collaborations between AUK and Italian institutions, focusing on opportunities in education, innovation, and cultural exchange.

During the visit, Mr. Sansone toured AUK’s state-of-the-art laboratories and academic facilities, where he expressed his admiration for the university’s infrastructure and its dedication to academic excellence.
