AUK Nursing Students Lead Community Outreach in Seje Village
On April 14, 2025, senior students of AUK’s College of Nursing conducted a large-scale Community Outreach Program in Seje Village, Semel District, under the theme of “Empowering Communities through Compassionate Care, Education, and Service.”
As part of their Community and Population Health Nursing course, students served the village’s residents with the provision of medical consultations, health education, basic screenings, and first aid training. Students applied their skills and knowledge in the offering of these much-needed services.
The event was organized with the support of the Duhok Directorate General of Health. Sponsors and participating health services providers included: The Barzani Charity Foundation, Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights, Rami Farm, Hanasa Pharmacy, Media Saray, and Farmona.
Reflective of its commitment to impact initiatives that advance health care across Kurdistan, AUK’s College of Nursing plans to launch regular outreach programs in other underserved communities across the region.
