Boston, Massachusetts – From December 10 to 12, 2025, the American University of Kurdistan’s Provost, Dr. Triona Croke, and Ms. Ajin Saadi Zawity, Director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning (OEIP), participated in the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) Annual Conference, held in Boston.
As a NECHE candidate institution, AUK’s participation in the conference is important as the gathering of NECHE-accredited universities provides valuable opportunities to engage directly with NECHE leadership, peer institutions, and accreditation experts, strengthening AUK’s understanding of best practices in U.S.-style accreditation.
The conference featured sessions focused on assessment, institutional effectiveness, governance, and data-informed decision-making—all areas central to AUK’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic quality and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Insights gained from these discussions will directly inform institutional planning, evaluation processes, and evidence-based decision-making across the University.
