AUK Hosts Three Perspectives Exhibition Showcasing Contemporary Kurdish Artists
Duhok, Kurdistan Region – The American University of Kurdistan (AUK), in partnership with the Kurdistan Center for Arts and Culture (KCAC), proudly hosted Three Perspectives, an art exhibition highlighting the work of Bahaaddin Mohammadi Rad, Sali Mezori, and Asso Mamzada. Open to the public from September 8 to 15, 2025, the exhibition featured paintings, sculptures, illustrations, and graphic works that reflected the rich cultural imagination of Kurdish art.
The opening ceremony included a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing Kurdish artists, attended by local cultural figures, academics, and community members. Guests also enjoyed a live drawing session by Bahaaddin Mohammadi Rad, offering an intimate look at the artist’s creative process.
In his remarks, Dr. Randall Rhodes, President of AUK, underscored the University’s commitment to the liberal arts and the role of creativity in cultivating critical thinking and cultural dialogue. He highlighted the importance of art as both a mode of cultural preservation and a catalyst for new ways of imagining societal dreams and aspirations.
Through Three Perspectives, AUK and KCAC reaffirmed their dedication to fostering cultural expression and connecting artists with the wider community.
