AUK Hosts Annual Football Tournament

On May 8, 2025, The American University of Kurdistan concluded its 2025 Football Tournament at Pirs Stadium, with the Eagles claiming a commanding 5–0 win over Sparta in the final match.

Running from April 21 to May 8, the tournament brought together 11 teams: Tornado, Alho, Eagles, Titans FC, Kurdistan, Nursing, The Golden Dawn, AUK Knights, Madrid FC, Kurd, and Sparta. The top three finishers were:

Eagles – Champions

Sparta – Runner-up

Alho – Third place

Organized by the Student Government and sponsored by First Iraqi Bank (FIB), the championship promoted student wellness, friendly competition, and campus unity. Student Government members coordinated logistics, reserved referees, and hosted the final award ceremony with medals and trophies.

The tournament was a strong display of school spirit, teamwork, and community at AUK.
