January 8-12, 2026 - Duhok.AUK’s College of Nursing, through its Life Support Training Site (AUKLS), hosted representatives from the American Heart Association (AHA) International Training Center at Beirut Arab University (BAU) to expand instructor capacity and strengthen life support education.
The visit included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between AUK and BAU, followed by structured mentoring and hands-on training to train AUKLS instructors to ensure full alignment with AHA standards. The BAU team provided instructional guidance and practical support aimed at delivering high-quality Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
All three instructor candidates successfully completed the program and are now certified AHA Instructors. The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to international standards, professional excellence, and community health and safety. Such trainings lay the groundwork for life support education on the campus of AUK and at sites beyond.
