The College of Nursing at the American University of Kurdistan proudly hosts an annual Capping, Candle Lighting, and White Coat Ceremony, a symbolic and time-honored tradition that marks a significant milestone in the journey of our nursing students. This event celebrates their transition from the academic classroom to hands-on clinical practice, signifying their readiness to uphold the values of professionalism, compassion, and ethical responsibility in patient care.
December 2, 2023 – Inaugural ceremony celebrating 23 students and marking the launch of this tradition.
October 5, 2024 – Second ceremony recognizing 10 students advancing to clinical training.
February 22, 2025 – Third ceremony celebrating 20 students entering clinical rotations.
In May 2025, the College of Nursing at the American University of Kurdistan proudly hosted its inaugural Clinical Graduation Ceremony, marking a historic milestone for the program and its students. This special occasion celebrated the successful completion of the clinical training component of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, recognizing the dedication, perseverance, and professional growth of our graduating class.
The ceremony honored students’ achievements in mastering essential clinical competencies and their readiness to enter the healthcare workforce as competent, compassionate, and patient-centered professionals. Faculty, clinical partners, and family members joined in celebrating this achievement, reflecting the collaborative effort that shaped the graduates’ journey from classroom learning to hands-on patient care.
