Dr. Lazgin Zeebaree is a medical doctor with long experience in internal medicine. He served as the Director General of Planning and Health Education at the Ministry of Health for the Kurdistan Regional Government from 2000 to 2007. In addition to his profession as a doctor, he is an active scholar and experts in linguistics. Dr. Zeebaree is a prolific writer publishing several books, articles and op-eds nationally and internationally. He is one of the founding members of the Kurdistan 24 broadcast.

Dr. Zeebaree received his medical degree from the University of Shiraz in Iran in 1995.
