
Miaad Hassan, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, International Studies
Miaad Hassan is an Assistant Professor at the Department of International Studies. She received her PhD in comparative politics at the University of Florida, specializing in comparative politics and international relations.
With a special interest in the Middle East, Turkey and North Africa, Hassan focuses on state-building, social and ideological cleavages, party systems, authoritarian politics, identity politics, contentious politics, ethnicity and nationalism, post-conflict development, and democratization.
Hassan is currently teaching international relations theory, foreign policy and diplomacy, public policy and public administration, as well as courses in graduation research project.
