- Understanding and Preventing Violence in its Different Forms: Homicide, Sexual Assault, Domestic and Family Violence, Violence Against Women and Children
- Understanding, Protecting, and Supporting Vulnerable Groups: Victims, Refugees, Internally Displaced Persons, Minorities
- Understanding and Improving Legal Responses to Crime: Deterrence, Situational Crime Prevention, Policing and Security, Offender Rehabilitation
- Understanding and Promoting Peace-Building: Co-Existence of Different Religious and Ethnic Groups, Reconciliation, Defense of Minority Rights.
- Understanding and Promoting Good Governance and the Rule of Law
