Matthew Paul G., MS
Matthew Paul G. is from Pennsylvania in the United States. He received both a BS and MS in Linguistics from Georgetown University as well as did work toward a PhD in International Education at New York University. He has worked in administration at Georgetown and New York Universities for a total of 10 years. He has taught for fifteen years in a variety of countries such as Japan, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. His editorial skills have been of great service at all institutions he has worked. His academic interests are in Sociolinguistics and Anthropological Linguistics. He can speak Indonesian Malay fluently and in his younger years was also fluent in Japanese. He has a reading knowledge of French as well. He took ten years away from the educational world and renovated old houses in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania for resale which was an invaluable “real world” experience which he incorporates into his teaching these days. In his free time, he likes travel and photography and has visited about 65 countries to date. His current travels have frequently taken him to Spain and the Netherlands. He looks forward to his time at American University of Kurdistan to learn about the region and to meet a new group of students.
