Khalil Fadl Osman, PhD
Dr. Khalil Fadl Osman earned his PhD in Politics from the University of Exeter in the UK and completed his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Telecommunications and ABD in Political Science (specializing in International Relations and Comparative Politics) at Indiana University, Bloomington. Dr. Osman has 30 years of experience in university teaching, research, journalism and international civil service. He taught Political Science at Indiana University in the US before moving to journalism where he worked at a number of world-renowned media organizations, including the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s Radio Canada International (RCI). Dr. Osman’s work as an academic, journalist and UN official spans over 10 countries in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. His research interests and publications include identity politics, war and conflict, and Middle East politics. During his work as a journalist Dr. Osman produced, moderated or edited hundreds of online, print and broadcast reports, analyses, features, interviews and panel discussions covering a wide range of international affairs, business and economics, and human-interest stories.
