Ghareb Hamada Ph.D.

Professor, Petroleum Engineering

Ghareb M. Hamada is Professor of Petroleum Engineering in the College of Engineering of the American University of Kurdistan in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Mr. Hamada has extensive teaching and research experience in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe, having worked at Cairo University in Egypt, United Arab Emirates University in the UAE, Petronas Technical University in Malaysia, and the Technical University of Copenhagen in Denmark. Mr. Hamada’s research interests are mainly in formation evaluation and petrophysics. Mr. Hamada has more than 150 papers published in scientific journals, and he has presented at technical conferences. He has also authored two books. Mr. Hamada holds a BS and a MS in petroleum engineering from Cairo University and a DEA in applied geophysics from Bordeaux University in France. Mr. Hamada is a member of the SPE, SPWLA and SCA professional organizations.
