The American University of Kurdistan’s library has the capacity to store 90,000 books, with a current stock of more than 15,000 printed books and eBooks.
The books in AUK’s Library cater to all academic programs offered at the University as well as offer a wide range of genres to encourage and cultivate student reading habits.
Students, faculty and staff have access to the library five days a week, enabling them to borrow books or find a quiet space to study.

Whether on our off campus, students have 24/7 access to the library’s eBook collection.
- Three online reference systems (EBSCO, ACM and ProQuest) are currently operational.
- ProQuest has +850000 Electronic Books & eBrary unique titles, +603000 titles available for DDA (Demand Driven Acquisition).
- EBSCO and ACM both have 8,500 full-text periodicals, a database that offers indexing and abstracts for more than 12,500 journals as well as 13,200 publications including monographs, reports, and conference proceedings. Business Source Complete provides the leading collection of bibliographic and full text content.
